What is Particle Technology? Particle Technology is the study of dispersed systems. The particles do not need to be solid, they could be: drops, bubbles, cells, etc., but their presence within a continuous fluid phase changes the way that the continuous phase behaves. Thus, predicting the behaviour of the dispersed system requires careful analysis, characterisation and understanding of the dispersed system. Particle Technology is about all of these aspects.

Why study it?
The best text on why studying particle technology is important is given by The Educational Resources for Particle Technology (ERPT), and American web site with a wealth of useful information.
